I made the following photos in a sequence while we were in our backyard. Rex, aka THE BIG DUMB YELLOW DOG, launched into one of this favorite pastimes: a spontaneous roll and back rub on the grass! It can't be to just scratch his back - he always comes out of it with more crap on his coat than when he started! No, I think that he does it for THE SHEAR JOY OF IT. It never ceases to MAKE ME SMILE. I hope it does the same for you. :)
