The historic downtown of Springfield. Many homes and businesses were completely destroyed
The wrecking cranes began the night after the storms hit.
What's left of Main St., Springfield, Ma.
Lost trees at the Historic Town square.
The Old Church, Springfield made it. The trees surrounding it did not.
Healthy trees, twisted into kindling.
Luckily no one was in this car.
A tree crushed the roof of this historic home.
What's left of the family car.
Someones front yard, cluttered with destroyed trees.
Toothpicks!
The sidewalk that surrounded this tree is still attached to it's roots!
The wind blew right through Cathedral High Schools gymnasium.
The power grid was destroyed
Just like twigs!
All of the streets were blocked with downed trees.
Hanging power lines were a danger.
Try dealing with these power lines on the ground at 3 in the morning!
