When You Think About It: The Way of Peace

Jesus said, "He who takes up the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that evil can be overcome by evil, or violence by violence? The Way of Peace requires courage and patience, but it will prevail."

Do you think that evil can be overcome by evil, or violence by violence?

Most of the people that I know who are gun owners are good, law abiding citizens. In fact, I don't think that I know of anyone who isn't. I also think that it would be accurate to say that the great majority identify themselves as Christian - good, god fearin' folk. So, it makes me wonder WHY they hear, but don't HEED, the advice of their Lord and Master.

When You Think About it, what do YOU believe the Christ is telling us? It's pretty clear to me: lay down your weapons - all of them! They will do you no good in the end. Only love lasts. Do not be afraid. It will not be easy, but He (and others) have shown us the way -

The Way of Peace requires courage and patience, but it will prevail.

If you believe it, then you must live it. It REALLY is THAT simple. Do you have the COURAGE and PATIENCE??? When you answer in the affirmative, we will have change. . .
