Today's MOZEN: A Meditation on Artistic Expression.

Words and photo by F LoBuono
When listening to great works of music or viewing a masterpiece what always impresses me most is the depth of feeling the artist puts into the work. It comes from deep within. It starts in the toes and works its way through every capillary, every artery, every fiber of their very being.

There is no holding back.

There is no past.

There is no future.

There is only NOW.

There are no distractions.

There is purity of heart and clarity of mind.

There is no beginning nor no end.

From shapeless thought the artist breathes life into his creation, giving it shape, form, and character - a soul of it's own, if you will. And, when finished, exhausted but sated, like a new mother spent but also elated by the birth of her child, the artist may rest and say "here, I have made this for you".
